Level for Development Foundation is a youth-led NGO in Jabal al Akhdar, eastern Libya — working on climate resilience, civic education, and community-led change.
Level for Development Foundation was established in 2022 by young people from Al-Bayda and the surrounding region — people who had experienced firsthand what it means to live in a community with real needs and real potential, but limited pathways for youth to lead.
In September 2023, Storm Daniel struck eastern Libya. For us, this was not an abstract event — it was our home. It confirmed what we already believed: that building local capacity for climate resilience and civic action is not optional. It is urgent.
Our mission is to develop the knowledge, skills, and networks that allow young people in Libya to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the challenges their region faces.
